Albion Films first release

Albion Films released their first mountain bike video filmed at Anderson Truck Trail. A number of Albion Team riders were caught on film in this first video attempt. The video is currently posted on Vimeo but a link can be found on the Albion Brewing Video page or by clicking on the Vimeo logo to the left. This first 3+ minute film was captured with a single GoPro HD Hero. We have since expanded our number of cameras for our next film effort, possibly a segment on the upcoming 12 hour race.

12 Hour Champions for 2011

Albion Brewing returned to the top of the podium once again on Saturday, November 12, 2011 after winning the final race of the three race series. Albion Brewing won all three 12 hour races in 2011 finishing the year with a substantial lead in the Salty Dog 4 person division. Team members including an alternate rider for 2011 included Osmamu Chiba, Dave Krosch, Randy Liechy, Lynn Trimble and Ken Winston. The same team won the 4 person Open division Championship in 2009 after finishing third in both 2008 and 2010. The November race was ended early after a combination of rain and nightfall made the course unsafe. Also competing was Jeff Fischer in the Sport solo division and a second Albion Brewing 4 person team consisting of Andy Green, Bryan Jones, Miguel Loza, and Collin Valentine. Jeff finished second by a mere lap for the year in the Sport solo division. The results of the So Cal Epic 50 are now available at the So Cal 12 Hour website. Congratulations to all! Start training for the January 2012 race.

So Cal Fat Tire Epic 50

Albion Brewing Team members made their way onto the podium on Saturday, October 5 at the So Cal Epic 50. The results of the So Cal Epic 50 are now available at the So Cal Fat Tire Epic 50 website. This is the West Coast Marathon Championships! For years the mountain bike marathon has been an integral bridge between endurance racing and cross country racing. The course was a demanding 50 mile epic adventure with temperatures in the 90s. The Course consisted of 2 laps of 24 miles for most categories, with long climbs and twisty -fun- roller coaster downhills. Those who survived the race and made it to the podium included Ken, Jeff, Tim, Andy, Osamu, and Elizabeth. Andy also wins the "Friends of Wildlife" award after being knocked silly by an errant deer and still managing to complete the race. Congratulations to all!
